Meet the Author
L. M. Williams writes Southern Gothic coming-of-age novels where atmospheric settings, unforgettable characters, and deeply rooted family stories intertwine with quiet suspense and unexpected twists. Inspired by the people, traditions, and landscapes of the South, her fiction explores faith, identity, resilience, and the secrets that linger just beneath the surface of small-town life.
She lives in a small lake town in East Alabama with her husband and family. A middle school English Language Arts teacher, L. M. spends her days encouraging young readers to discover the power of stories while continuing to pursue her own lifelong love of writing.
Though she proudly calls Alabama home, her perspective has been shaped by family roots in the North and years spent living along the East Coast and in Puerto Rico. Those experiences enrich the layered characters and emotionally resonant settings that define her novels.
When she isn't writing, L. M. enjoys baking, discovering local restaurants as a self-proclaimed foodie, and getting lost in a good book. A devoted Christ follower, she believes the best stories reveal both the brokenness and the beauty of the human heart—and that hope can often be found in the most unexpected places.
